Satoshi's distant cousin who is in relation to her father who is a cousin of Satoshi's father. Haruka is a friendly young girl who has a secret crush on her cousin Satoshi. She's very positive and optimistic amongst many things. Though she isn't as talented in battle as Satoshi is, she can still manage on her own. She's also very talented in contest related events, in which she usually wins. Amongst her talents, she can cook very well because of how often she spends time in the kitchen with her mother. However, she is unable to handle spicy food, so she doesn't make it often. Although her intelligence is quite average, she puts in a huge amount of effort to get good grades. Her athleticism is very poor, despite her huge effort in it as well. She is consider to be Sekiei Academy's "Hardest Worker".

When Satoshi moved in because of his father's desire to make him experience the world outside of Kanto, she didn't know what to expect of him at first. But she eventually got accustomed to him and she became quite affectionate to him, though she has the fear of Satoshi rejecting her feelings, so her crush remained a secret for quite some time. But she didn't want to be apart when he was going back home to his highschool, so she decided to move in with him as well.
