Satoshi's childhood friend, although she doesn't show it, she is extremey happy when Satoshi attends the same highschool as her. Kasumi has a tough exterior and personality which makes her hard to approach. However, deep inside she's really a shy individual who fantasizes about romance. Another contrast to her tomboy personality is how she loves to eat sweet things such as chocolate, pastries, cakes, and especially melon bread. Kasumi also loves cute things and often wears hair pins she decorates on her hair. She is also born with a heterochromia, giving her a left blue eye and a green right eye. Kasumi is an impressive student, both academically and physically which is why she's often regarded as Sekiei's greatest asset. Also she is regarded as being quite the beauty and naturally many male students ask to date her. However, her cooking abilities are less than desirable than she thought which is why she envies Haruka for her talent in cooking. She lives in the Hanada district with her sisters. Amongst them is her oldest sister Sakura who loves her sister dearly and often treats her as child, which often upsets Kasumi. However, Kasumi would love to have a younger sister herself, which is why she's very affectionate toward's Satoshi's foster sister, Maki. She also has a stray pikachu named Shitosa who strongly dislikes her childhood friend, Satoshi.
